Connecting Radiology for Networking, Collaboration, and Education

Walter Reed Army Medical Center (WRAMC), Washington, DC is seeking up to five academic radiologists to work at WRAMC and to transition to the new Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in nearby Bethesda, MD, in the Fall of 2011. Walter Reed is the United States’ premier military academic medical facility, with a joint Army/Navy diagnostic radiology residency program. The department is entirely digital, with fully deployed PACS, MDCT with Virtual Colonoscopy and coronary ATA programs, 1.5T and 3.0T MRI, and digital mammography. Our patient population includes active duty military members, military retirees and their dependents. In addition to clinical work, radiologists will be expected to contribute to resident and fellow education by teaching at the workstation as didactic lectures. Successful candidates will expected to author scientific publications in peer-reviewed journals. There will be significant research opportunities in translational science, neuroscience, oncologic imaging/therapy and cardiovascular medicine. Candidates in all subspecialties will be considered, and fellowship training is strongly desired, although not required. Salary is competitive with local academic institutions and commensurate with experience and level of administrative responsibility. For more information, please contact Kenneth H. Cho, M.D. at kenneth.cho@us.army.mil.
