Leiomyomas are most reliably diagnosed in barium studies than CT scanning. Sharp borders of the image in any submucosal mass favored its location, but in CT scanning discrimination of the luminal or extraluminal mass seems to be difficult.
Would like to hear specialists opinions about this point of view.
