Hello all,
I am new to this forum and didn't know if there is someplace that I can search for an answer. Does the JC require pharmacist to review all IV contrast orders either before the exam or retrospectively? If you stock (and administer) your own contrast within the dept are you non compliant?

Thank you

JS

At our hospital, all contrast orders must be approved by pharmacy. We do it case by case but we have an assistant who takes care of it for us. Another place I moonlight at does not require pharmacy and stocks their own.

At our hospital we stock the contrast not case by case.
