Foot MDCT

On various disease: malformative, rheumatic and arthritic, the involvement of the foot joints is an event almost constant.
Among the sources of the subsequent motor disability one can also identify other pathogenetic mechanisms:
inflammatory and mechanical.
The treatment of these conditions requires both control of inflammation, prevention and containment of the joints deformities.
In this context play a key role the functional assessment.
However tailored treatment requires a thorough knowledge of both:
the clinical picture of disease and the structural and functional consequences of the foot.
The rehabilitation treatment then is aimed to contain joint damage, improve the fulcrums excursion, limit the clinical progression of the disease and reduce the pain symptom.
In addition, the rehabilitation program often complements orthopedic surgical procedure, needed to correct the serious damage of advanced degenerative changes.
