RSNA 2011: Subjective experience may limit quality improvements with iterative reconstruction

In this four-minute video interview conducted at the RSNA conference, Dr Patric Kröpil, Department of Radiology, University of Dusseldorf, Germany presented evidence that there are subjective limits to the quality of iterative reconstruction (IR) of CT angiography. Even though signal-to-noise and contrast-to-noise ratios improved with each higher level of advanced IR technique, radiologists asked to judge the quality of a series of images found that the quality diminished after a medium level of reconstruction.
