This symposium is designed to provide a cutting edge yet practical approach to the clinical applications of MRI and CT. Topics include neuroimaging, peripheral and cardiac angiography, body imaging, and musculoskeletal applications of CT and MR. Principles of image display and basic post processing will be demonstrated with interactive workstation presentations throughout the program. Emphasis of this meeting is on the practical clinical uses of new technologies. Faculty members have been selected for their teaching ability, as well as their expertise.
This CME activity is primarily intended and designed to educate diagnostic imaging physicians who perform and interpret MRI and CT examinations. It should also be useful in educating referring physicians who order MRI and CT procedures, as well as radiologic technologists.
Attendees should, at the completion of this course, be able to:
Compare the use of CT and MRI in the evaluation of various neurologic, body and angiographic applications.
Compare the clinical indications for CT and MR imaging for acute stroke.
Discuss current safety regulations and guidelines as they apply to imaging contrast administration.
Assess patients with a variety of cardiac and vascular abnormalities using both MRI and CT.
Develop clinical protocols for effective use of MR and CT in the evaluation of the cardiovascular system.
Discuss state-of-the-art CT Colonoscopy imaging and review protocols.
Implement state of the art imaging protocols and techniques for the musculoskeletal system into clinical practice.
No special educational preparation is required for this CME activity.
