Of all the protocols for ultrasound of the body the carotid artery is the most complex.  More errors in acquisition and interpretation are made with this study than any other in medicine, echocardiography included.   This course will virtually eliminate them.   In addition to our focus on vessels of the neck we'll take an introductory look at transcranial Doppler by the transtemporal approach.
