Additional description or bio about me:
I'm a single mother of two great kids. After a year and a half of hard work and juggling schedules, I've been accepted into the local Rad. Tech program. I'm very excited about the prospects that this field will open up to me. After I recieve my A.A.S. degree, I'd like gain a few years of experience/train in different modalities and eventually work as a travel tech for awhile. I'd appreciate any information and assistance that anyone has to offer. I'm also looking forward to getting to know you, so don't hesitate to drop me a line. :^'}

Congratulations on your acceptance. About to reach my 20th year as a Radiology Tech and have not regretted it once. As you enter the working field, be open minded and be willing to learn every aspect of the department they are willing to train you in. Good luck and please keep in touch.
You are welcome for any service, I can be to you. My back ground in Medical Imagery was in the 30 years I spent in the Military Reserve, USA. Naturally I have a predisposition for the military and will make preferance to the advantages of being in military for superior education and internship. Please keep in touch & may St. Michale protect you.
Congratulations on your acceptance into RAD Tech School. I was 27 years old when I went to school. There were people who were 50 years old also as students. It was "tough" going to school, coming home to do hours of homework, but I was determined to get through it. I kept a note reminding me "why I was in the program...and what my ultimate goal was" when times seemed impossible.
After 5 years working in the field, I realized much to my surprise that I really didn't want to stay in it for my whole life. That's another long story. But, I had to accomplish this, to get to my next phase of life. At my age, it all makes sense, but certainly didn't at the time. Lots of my women business owner friends came out of the medical field. We saw a need and filled it.
My suggestion to you is stay focused, don't let little things bother you, and remind yourself every day why you are in the program. Good luck!
