Radiology Partners continues to expand their brand across the country with their latest acquisition of Las Vegas-based, Desert Radiology, their first purchase in the state; marking the 18th state for the country’s largest physician-owned radiology practice.
“Desert Radiology is an outstanding practice with a strong local market position, exceptional leadership, and a national reputation,” said Rich Whitney, chairman and CEO of Radiology Partners. “We are excited that they are joining our team.”
Desert Radiology has been called the “premier radiology practice of Nevada,” and they were named 24th top practice in Radiology Business’s Radiology 100 list of 2018. Founded in 1966, Desert Radiology has reading contracts in 12 Nevada hospitals, including Universal Health System/Valley Health System, University Medical Center, DaVita Healthcare Partners, and Banner Health. They employ over 70 radiologists and 400 “support personnel,” according to their website.
“Our culture of excellence in radiology is very important to us and was a driving factor in our evaluation of a partner,” said Richard Bodager, CEO of Desert Radiology, in a statement. “Radiology Partners’ mission of transforming radiology aligns with our values and equips us with the capabilities of a large-scale national practice, while allowing us to maintain local leadership. Together, we will continue working to provide prompt, quality healthcare with leading-edge diagnostic imaging services and innovative clinical programs.”
